The First picture is of Sasha. The picture on the right is little Louis a Jack Russel Cross Papilon, taken when he was about 8 months old That was 4th Oct 2006.
Louis was to help ease the pain of loosing our beloved Sasha just 3 weeks before. Sasha was a Jack Russell Bitch. We had her and loved her for nearly 16 years. We were on holiday in Cornwall in September 2006 when she showed signs of distress one evening, she got me up about 3 am I thought she wanted the toilet but with hindsight she wanted fresh air. We travelled about 80 miles the next morning looking for a vet. We arrived at a place called SEATON where in the car park whilst my wife carried her she stretched up kissed her on the face and just died.
Devastated was an understatement. We cancelled the rest of our holiday. Three weeks we cried ,we missed her so much. Home felt so empty without her. We decided to get another dog and so we were introduced to Louis. It was love at first sight. He was a rescue dog his previous owners did not want him. He has been hard work, it has been difficult to get him to eat. He likes water from the pond and water butts but not from a fresh bowl indoors. He is still so nervous of people, bikes, children, bags ,black sacks, noise, sudden movement ,brooms, the hoover, but most of all other dogs. He is slowly getting there. Indoors with us he is so good and a makes a good guard dog . He has his sleep time after his walk. he has his play time when ever he feels fit. loves tug of war games. Also we have a "Kill the Grill Time at bed time. He dashes into the bedroom jumps on the bed where we keep a stuffed gorilla. He loves to bite it and we play tug of war ,with him usually winning. I say "kill the grill "and off he goes in search of it. He constantly fetches toys from his basket and demands we play with them. He is also a chocoholic. he can detect a sweet wrapper rustle from over 40 feet away , Rich Tea biscuits he can hear one of them snap also at over 40 feet away. Nothing gets past him. But we love him. I will update this page from time to time and add some pictures.
There is now a small slideshow on youtube which Ive called Football Crazy. If you click on Video`s on the left of this web page you find it there.

An update (6 APRIL 08 ) Well, what can I say, he is still hard work now after over a year, he still prefers water fom outside, hates most dogs, but we can now walk past some dogs without a display. But not often, he is better with people now as long as they dont aproach or touch mavis or me. He still hates food. It has to be chopped up tiny or no go. And what he liked yesterday he wont touch today . Brooms hoovers bags noise sudden movement no go.
Despite all this we love him dearly.
Update 1st may 08 . He gets his booster and is being chipped today.
Update 31 July 08 We have seen some changes recently after a tour of the north with him he has met so manny strangers ,he has been excellent. His eating has improved he will attempt to try new things. He may not like them twice but he tries. he is still a chocoholic. But even when its left open he never steals it. He will now drink fresh water indoors but it has to be in a shallow bowl. His dinner has to be on a flat plate.
We are able to walk with him and he doesnt bark at every dog now. but he can still do his loony bit when he wants to, still hates noise cycles hoovers brooms trolleys bags, and least of all sudden surprises. But we are getting there.
Update 1 February 2010
Not much to add to above. He is a little bit better. He would still do his kite flying bit if Mavis didnt hold him. He can pass dogs But if they apear slightest bit agressive hes off on one. But he is still the perfect dog in doors. He can be so loving. He sleeps a lot but s always ready for a game
Update 30 April 2010
Whilst away at Yorkshire this week All 3 of us Louis,Mavis and myself were attacked and knocked over flat on our backs in the road by 2 very large retriever type dogs
The silly girl holding them was unable to control them.
I was laying on my back with 2 snarling things ontop of me one of them had louis leg in its mouth I kicked and punched it to get it off. Mavis was somewhere under me on the road. I managed to gather louis up and protect him. A passing cyclist stpped and helped us. The girl muttered a simple are you alright and did a double quick disapearing act. Louis is a little bit sore but ok. It could all have ended so badly.
